This is a tutorial to help staff submit a leave request via Deputy.
1. Log In
Launch the Deputy app or open the Deputy website in your preferred web browser (Chrome Recommended).
Enter your login credentials (username and password) to access your account.
2. Completing and Submitting the Leave Request
Once you're logged in, if you are using the browser version of deputy, click the dropdown menu in the top right corner where your name is, click on “Profile” and then click on “Add New” next to “Leave”.
In this area, you will put your leave date range, leave type (Annual, Sick etc), a comment on why a leave request has been submitted and finally, the managers you would like to notify of the leave request.
Once all information has been entered, click on add and the request will be sent through to the managers listed.
If you are using the Deputy app, scroll down until you see “Time Off” and click on “Leave”. At the bottom right you will see a + sign, click on this and fill in all details requested.
3. Review and Submit
Review the details of your leave request to ensure they are accurate. Double-check the dates, leave type, and any notes you've added.
In the browser-based Deputy, click on “Add” to submit leave request.
In the app-based Deputy, click the tick at the top right-hand corner to submit leave request.
4. Wait for ApprovalAfter submitting your leave request, it will be sent to your manager for approval. They will review your request and either approve or deny it. In some cases, they might ask for further clarification.
5. Check Leave StatusYou can check the status of your leave request by revisiting the "Leave" or "Leave Request" section in Deputy. If approved, the dates will be marked as "Approved," and if denied, you'll see a "Denied" status.
